
Dr. Ryan M. Wood Dr.
Ryan Wood grew up in Douglasville, Georgia. He graduated with honors from
Douglas County High School where he lettered in Varsity Soccer and was
a class officer each year. Dr. Wood attended the University of Georgia
and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at UGA, he joined
the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and served as its philanthropy committee
chairman and awards committee chairman. He also served as a representative
in the University’s Student Government Association.Dr. Wood received his doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was active in the American Student Dental Association and volunteered with Give Kids a Smile in the Augusta-Richmond County Health Department. After his graduation, Dr. Wood completed a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Georgia. This hospital based residency consisted of further training in dental implants, intravenous conscious sedation, and general dentistry. His professional affiliations include the Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. He is also a volunteer at the Good News Clinic in Gainesville. Dr. Wood is married to the former Elizabeth Hartman of St. Simons Island, Georgia. He and his wife attend Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Dr. Wood’s hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing, UGA football and traveling. |
