
Dr. Richard G. Bennett Dr.
Richard Bennett grew up in Jesup, Georgia where he graduated with honors
from Wayne County High School. He graduated from Georgia Southern University
where he was initiated into the Sigma Chi Fraternity and also served as
Pledge Trainer. At the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry,
Dr. Bennett served as President of his class for four years, was President
of the American Student Dental Association, and also served as Region V
Trustee for the Southeastern Dental Schools. He was a two-time recipient
of the Hinman Dental Society Scholarship, received the Georgia Dental Education
Foundation Scholarship, and was initiated in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Honor Fraternity. After graduation, Dr. Bennett moved to Gainesville where
he had been active in the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental
Association, the Hinman Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.He currently serves on the Board of The Good News Clinic, a medical/dental clinic, which provides free dental care to the undeserved and uninsured residents of Hall County. Dr. Bennett served as a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church where he has been active in the Medical Mission’s Program, having recently served in Haiti. Dr. Bennett is married to the former Maggie Care, from Peachtree City, Georgia and they have three sons: Mac, Harper, and James. In his spare time, Dr. Bennett enjoys playing sports, hunting, fishing, and being on Lake Lanier. |
